After all was setup it didn't run so finally I used a hacked version of windows media center xp from 2005 and added some Windows 7 like themes to it and it works great. Ubuntu is where linux jumped the shark. After years and years of preaching not being windows they has created something that is very similar but not as good as windows. It takes over an hour to install. Do you know how long the first version took to isntall? 15 mins max. Most linux distros took 5 mins. Also, why Chrome for a media center? Google hasn't released the Chrome OS for easy consumption so it's not worth the effort to deal with mods like it would be with OS X.
